Lyn lives and works on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors, and is inspired every day by the vast landscapes and varied wildlife found on her doorstep, translated most commonly into lino cuts. Her training as a graphic designer has allowed her to transfer the skills of using simple block colour and shapes to the more tactile process of printmaking. Her designs develop organically from a simple sketch; decisions are made and altered throughout the cutting and printing process as the image emerges through the mark making. She also applies her original designs to various handmade products.
